There's got to be some endings nobody has seen yetĬan one of the devs answer for me, were all of the endings animated by hand or do they get generated based on which colours you had? Normally for something like this the endings would be made on the fly but with the amount of work that went into this game I wouldn't be surprised if you guys animated them all by hand.Manifold Garden is a game that reimagines the laws of physics. Then double that for regular path and alt path and you have 256 endings, minus one because you can't place the final god cube and then go alt path, so 255. I don't trust myself with maths but I think you want to find combinations without repetition for each number of god cubes (so when you placed 3 cubes, 4 etc.) The compatibility of the cubes being different with the color every time. Thanks for letting me know this was answered! (Though I still wonder how many endings that means there are.) Originally posted by dardar101:Ok now that's awesome. Again, certain configurations of these possibilities wouldn't work at least legitimately, but I just want to know I'm not crazy! Has anyone else encountered this? There's other variables that I didn't test that might affect it too, like if you created the god cubes but didn't plant them, or whether or not you're holding a dark cube when you fall into the ending. If that is the case, how many endings are there? Considering there are 7 God Cubes that can be planted, and 2 different ways to get to the ending (normal path and secret path), and the possibly huge amount of combinations of different god cubes you could plant/not plant in a run (I have no idea about what's possible legitimately), I honestly have no idea how many endings there could be (assuming this is even correct and I'm not crazy). Then I tried going through the alternate path with having only planted the blue cube (used noclip for this one), and I think it was different again? My question is, am I crazy, or do the god cubes actually effect the endings at certain numbers. I wondered what would happen if I went through the alternate secret ending on a save where I already planted all of the god cubes except the rainbow one, because that is possible to do legit if you just play normal and then take the secret path at the end, and to my surprise, I think I got a different ending? It was the same sort of thing as the others, but different too, or at least I thought it was. However, when doing a third run to explore other miscellaneous secret routes/connections, I decided to test something. The normal path's rainbow, turns into cube then square then line etc. So I have completed my normal play-through and a 0% (no god cubes) run, and have seen two versions of the ending.
